2004 Train Trip – Part 6 – 10/28/04

The next day, Brenda and I met John for a quick show at the planetarium at the Museum of Natural
History, then we all went to Numero Uno on 81st and Columbus to have lunch and a few laughs.

Brenda and I took the subway to Grand Central Station and walked around the bottom of the Empire State Building and then started to wait in line for it, but realized we didn’t have time that afternoon.

We went back to my aunt’s house and changed into dinner wear and joined Steve and Denise Gordon at Pomodoro near 73rd and Columbus.  It was great to see them and we had a good meal together.  Denise said she liked the stability of her job and Steve was thinking of going to Sports Illustrated.  They left to go to Penn Station and catch their New Jersey Transit back home.

Brenda and I bought tickets for my parents and I back to the Philadelphia Station for the following day’s reunion activities.  We walked to Times Square; so much to see!  Painters, portrait artists, singers, people with costumes, rappers, horses and buggies.  The city signs in Times Square are so lit up nowadays; it’s similar what I think Tokyo would look like.
